Synopsis:

The road to success can be a long, arduous journey. It is a journey that needs a step-by-step, clearly defined strategy to arrive at the final destination. To accomplish this goal, Gary A. McAbee has laid out a series of success principles, carefully placed in a logical order, which can lead to greater success. These principles have been used consistently by many of the highest achievers in our society. If they can use these concepts to reach success, then they can also be used by everyone to achieve victory.

The book Defining Success: One Word at a Time starts with defining and visualizing the end result: victory. From there, concepts like faith, passion, knowledge, and patience are introduced to the reader as building blocks toward success. Finally, the book ends with an all-encompassing definition of success. This definition, like all of the success keywords before it, includes the previous concepts outlined in this book.

Projects, known as Call-to-Action exercises, are located throughout the book as samples that can be used to supplement the success keywords. In essence, these exercises serve as written examples that allow the reader to work toward success. By completing projects such as The Success Book, Goal Worksheet, and Define Your Success, the success keywords and the concepts associated with each project come to life.

Defining Success: One Word at a Time serves as a road map to success. Make no mistake about it; the road to success can be daunting. Yet this book, along with the teachings and exercises it contains, is the ultimate guide to producing greater results. It is a guide book to reach the ultimate goal: higher achievement and greater success!

Success: Motivation for the World, One Word at a Time

Success… an excerpt from the soon to be released book:

Motivation for the World, One Word at a Time by Gary A. McAbee

Work Hard

We will arrive at the finish of our journey together by defining the word success. Did you notice the definition of success is really about an outcome or result? Somehow we have added more to this definition, so the word success takes on many different meanings. Success is usually connected to something that is good. I think we can agree that the most common use of the word success is to associate it with a positive outcome. However, by definition success can be a positive or negative outcome.

For example, the police can be successful at catching thief, while another thief can be successful at getting away. This shows that success happens all the time and it is inevitable regardless of the situation. We always get an outcome or result, so we are always successful! No matter what you do, success is guaranteed. No matter what you try, success is guaranteed. No matter where you go, success is guaranteed. Understand exactly what this means: success can be defined as a positive or negative outcome or result.

To become a success, start by defining it for yourself. Claim victory in the beginning of the process. Build enough faith to believe you are destined to be a success. Write what would happen if and when you pursue success. Dream big and let those thoughts plant the seeds of your future success. Develop a vision that supports your idea of what success looks like to you. Turn these things into a burning passion for becoming a success. Seek various sources of motivation to help you start toward success. Compose a plan that will allow you to complete goals on your way to success.

Keep defining success for yourself. Study and build your knowledge base to lead yourself to success. Improve your character so it will help you find the success you deserve. Learn how to work harder and smarter so success will come to you. Create your own luck and you will increase your likelihood of experiencing greater success. Take calculated risks to uncover opportunities that will lead to success. Embrace failure of a part of the process of achieving success. Find your hidden resource of perseverance in the midst of searching for success. Continue to rely on your integrity as you get closer to success. Refine your focus as you see success first-hand and experience it more often. Enjoy success as you live the life you have always wanted to live.

Affirmation: I finally understand the steps that I must take as I make steady progress toward my ultimate goal: success!!!

Motivation: Defining Success, One Word at a Time

Motivation… an excerpt from the book:

Defining Success: One Word at a Time by Gary A. McAbee

motivation-for-the-world

Motivation by definition includes action. Consequently there cannot be any action without motivation. I will take it a step further and say everything, including inaction, is caused by motivation. For example, if you want to walk, you have to be motivated to get started. On the other hand, if you chose to stand still, you have to be motivated to stay in place. These examples prove that motivation is not some whirlwind idea that can come in and make sweeping change. Instead, it is the reason why you take each and every action. In order to provide Motivation for the World, it is necessary to provide motivation for yourself.

The initial takeaway from this concept is people are always self-motivated to do whatever they want to do. Self-motivation is taking action based on how you feel; I call this our inner-drive. Self-motivation is a critical component of the success process and achieving victory. We make decisions constantly about what comes next, and the actions we take are based on being self-motivated. In other words, you have the power to determine whether you make progress on the road to success, remain in the same place, or take steps backward.

We want to discuss motivational strategies and tactics that will propel us forward. In order to do this, we need to learn about the things that make us advance in a positive direction. Positive things can spur us on; I call these things positive motivators. Negative things can also push us toward taking action; I call these things negative motivators. Since both exist simultaneously, we must remain aware of motivating factors that align with our dreams and vision. These are the things that propel us toward setting goals and achieving victory.

How do successful people stay motivated in order to move forward? We have already covered several tactics they use. Successful people define and expect victory. They build seemingly endless reservoirs of faith. Successful people believe in the power of thinking in terms of if and when things will happen. They dream and use their vision to see what success looks like and how it will ultimately feel. They find their passion and use it as a constant reminder of their purpose in life. They set goals and treat success as a process that will work in their favor if they stay the course and stick to the plan. These are some of the tactics the high-achievers use to stay motivated.
Affirmation: I am self-motivated so that I can put in the necessary effort to become more successful.
